Senate

This post is also available in: Deutsch (German) English

The Senate deals with issues that go beyond a single faculty. These include fundamental decisions on teaching and research, candidate proposals for the rector election, the election of vice-rectors, decisions on university regulations and the university’s development planning. It is often necessary to take a stand on various issues. Decisions on the organization of studies always require a 2/3 majority or a majority of the students entitled to vote. The Senate consists of 17 senators, three of whom are students.
